Our mission is to SERVE our church and community while PRAISING our God through EQUIPPING and ENGAGING one another to REACH the lost!

Southside Student Ministry exists to lead students (7th -12th grade) to live for Jesus Christ. We meet regularly 3 times per week. Sunday morning at 9:40, evening at 6:00, and Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:30. We have other events throughout the year, but the dates vary.

Sunday Morning (9:40 a.m.)

We begin Sunday mornings with a summary of the lesson. This is normally about 5 minutes to settle the students before they break into their gender based life groups. During this time we go through curriculum called the Gospel Project. This study takes us through the Bible in three years time. Each study points us back to the Good News of Jesus Christ! We end this study around 10:35 and most of our students join us for worship in our sanctuary.

Our classes are:

  • Girls (7th-12th grade) – (room 404)
  • Boys (7th-12th grade) – (room 403)

Sunday Night (6 p.m.)

This is our time of digging into scripture. During this time we read through different books of the Bible and discuss what the Word is telling us. This is a time of learning for the students, because they are the ones who ask questions about what we read as well as practice how to read scripture.

Wednesday Night (6 p.m.)

This is our most popular time for the students. We begin with a time of community in the gym and begin a lesson at 6:30. The lesson is a time for announcements as well as a time for teaching. After the teaching time we break into gender based life groups to discuss the lesson.

Throughout the year we have many ways your student can get involved:

  • Summer Camp
  • Local mission projects
  • Concerts
  • Six Flags trip
  • Rangers game
  • Along with many other day activities
